Wounds

Remember as a child having scraped knees and elbows? It was a right of passage for an adventurous summer. You’d come inside crying holding the wound, looking for your mom to help fix you up. She’d put some cream and a band aid on, kiss it all better and send you on your way.

But what about those emotional wounds the ones you can’t put a band aid on? What do you do about those?  Wounds such as bullying, emotional abuse, not being heard, spoken down to, shut down, criticized, not accepted.

Caroline Myss said, “We are not meant to stay wounded. We are supposed to move through our tragedies and challenges and to help each other move through the many painful episodes of our lives. By remaining stuck in the power of our wounds, we block our own transformation. We overlook the greater gifts inherent in our wounds- the strength to overcome them and the lessons that we are meant to receive through them.”

Take one step today.

One step toward healing.

With love,

Talesha
