The older I get the more my bucket list changes. Things I once wanted to do either get crossed off, or I take them off cause I’m too scared to do them. Whatever the situation may be, I love dreaming and planning for the future.
Here are some of the items taken off my bucketlist:
1: skydive- I’m way too scared to try that one out, so off it went.
2: Visit somewhere outside of the U.S- I went to Mexico on my honeymoon.
3: Try a new food- for those of you that know me, trying new foods isn’t my favorite thing since I’m so picky. But, after a few months my husband convinced me to try crab…yes, it was gross, and no I will not eat it again.
Now onto my new and improved top 10 bucket list:
1: Rent a sports car and drive the California coast. I did something very similar to this already, but without the super nice sports car and I didn’t go along the whole coast. Blasting beach boys with the top down as I drive along the ocean…. ah… sounds like such a fun adventure!
2: Fix up an old camper. I would love to buy an old camper and completely strip it and remodel it. I have seen some beautiful remodels that look even better than most people’s houses. It’s crazy what you can do with a camper, but I would love the challenge. Take it up the mountains and camp on weekends with my family sounds so relaxing.
3: Build a home with my husband. My husband knows how to build a house from the ground up and now I can’t get the idea out of my head. Custom building our own home would be such an accomplishment and one I hope to achieve.
4: Travel to Sweden and see the country my grandpa fell in love with. Ever since I was a kid I heard all the stories of my grandpas time in Sweden. He even taught me some Swedish when I’d visit. I would love to go someday and see where my family came from. I hear all the time how beautiful it is, so I can’t wait to live that dream in the future.
5: Go on a week-long cruise. This one is in the works as we speak. My husband and I have always wanted to go on a cruise so over the last few months we’ve really started saving in order to make that dream a reality. We would love to go to the Bahamas and relax for as long as we can. It’s been a while since we’ve had a vacation so it feels very fitting.
6: Go to the safari and see the wild animals. It’s one thing seeing elephants and zebras at a zoo, but to see them in their natural habitat would be so awesome.
7: See the pyramids in Egypt. When I was a kid I was obsessed with a book series that took place in Egypt. I would learn everything about pyramids and their culture. If any of you want to go on this adventure with me, let’s go!
8: Buy my parents a house. My parents have done so much for me. The ultimate gift back would be a nice house where they wouldn’t have to worry about anything ever again. I hope one day this dream can come true. I’m sure this is one a lot of people have.
9: Swim with dolphins. You always see how friendly dolphins are in movies and zoos. I hope to one day swim with them as I ride on their back. Dolphins are one of the only sea animals I’m not afraid of. Have you ever swam with a dolphin?
10: See the northern lights. I remember seeing a picture of the northern lights and thinking it was photoshopped. After learning it was indeed real, I knew I had to go see it for myself. I would love to see them while camping in an igloo or glass dome. Looking up and seeing the beautiful colors would be one of the coolest experiences.
Do you have a bucketlist? If not, get to writing one! Life is so short let’s spend more time doing things we enjoy! If you have any different ideas on your bucket list let me know! Maybe I’ll extend mine!
At the end of this week I hope you’ve had a productive, eventful and amazing week! I’m so thankful to have each of you in my life.
All my love,
Talesha
