The Power of affirmations

Your mind is a powerful things which allows you to think and feel. It is your direct line to everything around you. And helps you create who you want to be. Whether or not you use it, your mind is still turning you into the person you are by your thoughts and feelings.

You have conscious and sub conscious thoughts. Your conscious thoughts are way easier to change. While you sub conscious is harder and often times harder to know when it is impacting your life.

I personally want to use more of my conscious mind to dictate the responses I have in different situations. While our sub conscious mind is ruled by past experiences and trauma.

This is where positive affirmations come into play

“What you think, you become” -Buddha

Everything we’ve done was once a thought.

The job I have now, started as a thought.

The areas I’ve pushed myself, started as a thought.

The apartment I live in, once a thought.

If you think you aren’t smart enough for your dream job, your mind will believe it. It will effect how good you actually do when you go into it, if you do. And the kind of job you put yourself in because you don’t believe you are smart enough.

If you think men are terrible and rude, you will attract a lot of terrible and rude men.

If you hate your job, you will never have a good day.

If losing weight is hard, it’ll be 10x harder than thinking it’s easy.

Every thought we have, plays a role in our life.

First step is realizing that YOU are in control and not your mind. You choose what you believe.

Then you want to immediately change a negative thought into something powerful. For instance, you thinking “Im fat” and changing it right after to “Im beautiful and curvy!”

Next, try stopping a bad thought mid thought. Don’t let your mind tell you the whole thought. Break it down and turn it into something positive.

From here, you have to practice. This isn’t something that happens over night. This can take years and years of practice, just like it took years and years to develop that negative thinking.

You are in control of your own mind.

I say these affirmations to myself daily:

I am strong and fight for myself everyday.

I am beautiful and radiate beauty to those around me.

I work hard to be strong and continue becoming stronger.

I choose healthy foods to put into my body.

I am devoted and dream big.

I am commited to myself and the goals I have in place.

I challenge each of you to take some time and write out your affirmations. Then, read them outloud to yourself daily. I promise you will notice a huge difference in the way you look at yourself and how your day goes.

All my love,

Talesha
