I see so much negativity circling around. No matter the time of day, what social media I’m on, negativity is all people seem to focus on right now. I do think it’s important to address the hardships happening in those we love lives.
We do see struggle, and sadness, but is that all we see?
There is so much to be thankful for. So much goodness happening that needs to be brought to light. So today, instead of writing about the topics we are already well aware of right now, I will be writing my favorite things. Something to bring light to such a dark time.
My favorite things!
These are in no particular order.
I wear my black Nike leggings 3 or more times a week. They are so comfy, easy to move in and fit me perfectly. We all need a pair of leggings that fit us perfectly. Next time you go to Als in Logan, check out their black Nike leggings! You will thank me later!
I’ve been slightly obsessed with lemon water recently. I noticed several months ago that I was not getting in the water I needed daily. Upon deep cleaning my house I found an old water pitcher of my grandmas. This was the solution I was looking for, and I had it all along.
I cut up one lemon in 6 pieces, squeeze two of the slices in the bottom and fill the water up placing the rest on top. Over the next few days, I fill it up several times. The lemons that I didn’t squeeze slowly dilute the water. Plus an added bonus of cold water. Out of the tap, it isn’t nearly as cold as I prefer.
I use a lip liner as a whole lip color. I’ve noticed lipstick doesn’t stay as long as lip liner does. I love finding a nude color and softening it with a slight gloss. It stays for several hours and only needs minimal touchup throughout my day.
I have been loving my Amazon Alexa! I now have two in my home and will tell the one to “play music everywhere” and she sinks in with my other and I hear the same song all throughout my house. It’s awesome! Plus an added feature is smart bulbs. I also connected mine to my Alexa and now all I have to do is say “Alexa, goodnight” and she will turn my lights off.
Pinterest, oddly enough. Amidst all this time of distancing myself from social interaction, I’ve been loving me some Pinterest! I’ve been really into home decor. Paul and I will be moving into our new home in a little under a month! This has me itching to figure out all the different ways I can style it. I would say my style is definitely more modern minimalist.
I love a very simple but green (with house plants) look and feel. I want my home to be a place to relax. Not be wound up by all the things in all the places. Relaxing, simplistic, boho, country-style has my whole heart.
There is so much around us to be thankful for. So much goodness, beauty, and light coming out.
What do you love around you? What has been setting your soul on fire recently? I’d love to know and continue spreading joy and positivity.
All my love,
Talesha
