My Favorite Snacks

We all know how hard it can be to eat healthy during the day. The random hunger hits and your first thought is a Mcdonald’s drive-through. I’m guilty of ordering one too many Cokes, hamburgers and mcflurries.

Having a healthy snack in my pocket at work makes it easy to keep a clean diet. Knowing I have snacks keeps me out of local drive-throughs.

These are some of my all-time favorite snacks, I’m sure you’ll love too!

  • Augason Farm’s freeze-dried strawberries. Snacking on these satisfies my sweets addiction instantly. And the best part? I don’t feel guilty about eating as many as I want.
  • Celery with peanut butter. Eating celery plain is not my favorite thing ever, so adding peanut butter is a go-to for me. The peanut butter adds some good protein and fills me up in between meals.
  • Pumpkin seeds and pistachios. I’m picky when it comes to nuts and seeds. I never eat the pumpkin seed outer shell because I think its nasty, so I crack it open and eat the seed inside. I eat these as a late-night snack if I’m still hungry after dinner.
  • Kale chips. I love chips so finding a chip I eat and not feel guilty, or sick after is awesome. Add light oil and salt and bake for a few minutes and voila, a healthy easy snack!
  • Cucumbers with ranch. This one is pretty popular, but one of my favorites. I love the crunch that cucumbers have but with the little taste, dipping it in ranch is a fast and easy snack for work. Although ranch isn’t the healthiest, I know it’s better than most fast food. So, I don’t feel bad about it.
  • Zucchini pizza bites. I love these as a meal, but they don’t always fill me up. Using them as a snack is perfect for in-between lunch and dinner. I don’t like zucchini most times, but I love these little bites!
  • Real fruit frozen popsicles. Love, love, love! On a hot summer day, nothing sounds or tastes better than real fruit popsicles! Perfect for an on the go bike ride or walking around the block with your kids.

I’m curious to know if you’ve tried any of these snacks? What ones do you not care to try again?

All my love,

Talesha
