My Favorite 90’s Shows

We all know and love the 90’s. I’ve always been a major fan of the T.V shows produced in the 90’s as well as the music. I remember getting CD’s and taking them to school, taking out the cover photos and looking at all the other photos of the artist inside.

So many things about the 90’s are iconic, but the t.v shows are definitely my most favorite. Enjoy this blast through the past and I dive into my favorite 90’s shows!

Sabrina The Teenage Witch: Ah! I’ll admit I watched this every weekend! Sabrina is a teenage girl who on her 16th birthday realizes she has magical powers. As a twist she lives with her aunts who knew all along she had powers.

But these aunts are no regular aunts, they are 600 years old! Sabrina connects with her magical cat and they go through life together figuring out more on her magical powers and how to use them in a beneficial way. This show aired in 1996 and had 7 seasons. This is one I definitely wished she played.

Boy Meets World: I’m pretty sure this is a more well known 90’s t.v show. I related to Topanga and her love life. They go from middle school, high school, and then college. Airing 7 seasons starting in 1993. Watching Topanga and Correy fall in love and venture through life.

Family Matters: This 90’s show aired in 1989 and went for 9 seasons. This being one of the longer t.v shows. Family Matters was about a middle-class family in Chicago. The Winslow family deals with many misfortunes. What tops it all off was the funny neighbor boy who was not shy adding himself into the mix. If you haven’t seen this show yet, go home and watch it. It’ll brighten your day, I promise.

Full House: Full House shaped my childhood! I related the most with D.J the oldest daughter of the group. Her younger sister Stephanie wanted to be just like her, which frequently annoyed her. With Jesse and Joey as uncles life was not boring! We watched as the family grew up and seeing Jesse get married and start a family.

This is the perfect family fun and feel-good show. You’ll laugh, endlessly, and enjoy every episode unfold. It first aired in September 1987 and ran for eight seasons. What was even better was the two seasons of Fuller House that aired in 2016! Giving us an update on how all the kids were all grown up. I was super sad that it ended but happy they had at least two amazing seasons finishing it off.

7th Heaven: 7th Heaven aired 1996 and aired for 11 seasons. The Camden family was centered around faith. With the father being a minister, and his wife and their 7 children. The house is always full in the best way possible. This is definitely a feel good show with no worries of any inappropriate scenes.

Friends: Friends is a show you all know and most likely love. I remember countless nights watching it and laughing in my room all alone. Friends could always make you smile even on a bad day. Joey with his funny food obsession and best one-liners, all the way to Rachel and her cooking.

Friends aired in 1994 and ran for 10 seasons. “Pivot, pivot, pivot!” I still know the theme song and can sing it on command. If you by chance haven’t seen Friends, this is your sign to go watch it!

Who else loved all these shows? Is there any you have never heard of?

I hope you all had an amazing 4th of July weekend with those you love.

All my love,

Talesha
