Motivation Mondays: Week 9

Every person on this planet has a story. We all carry hurt, broken or hard. It is only a matter of time before that story starts pouring out into the space that surrounds us. This includes our relationships with family, our children, spouses, significant others, friends, and co-workers.

Emotions are a huge deal and as I said above, left untreated can not only hurt our relationships but also our physical body.

Did you know that when you suppress negative emotions such as: fear, anger, sadness, distrust, helplessness and pride your body begins to have symptoms of fatigue, depression, lack of ambition, headaches and stomach distress to name a few?

I mentioned last week I was a dancer. One of the lessons we were always taught was to “leave it on the floor” If I had a bad day I left that emotion on the floor and danced my heart out. When I was sad from a boy breaking my heart I “left it on the floor”

Now years later here I am again, “leaving it on the floor”.

I want to teach you a simple technique that you can use anywhere to release negative emotions. It’s a three step process and I know you are going to love it. Are you ready?

Step 1: Disapprove- You have a negative emotion and you want to release it

Step 2: Move- Dance it out and “leave it on the floor”.

Step 3: Improve- Your mood instantly increases and you feel a release.

Let’s repeat, disapprove, move, and improve. Do you have it? Disapprove, move, and improve.

Now go and do. Shake it out, jump, kick, and move to improve your life.
