Motivation Mondays: Week 7

walls

Walls. What are they meant to do? Think of your house. The walls protect yourself and family from the elements, from unwanted animals, from undesirable people. Nearly everywhere we go and look we are surrounded by walls.

Have you thought about the walls within yourself? The walls that surround your heart?

In Dr. Bradley Nelson’s book, The Emotion Code He says this about the heart. “Your heart generates 60-1000 times more power and electromagnetic energy than your brain, easily making it the most powerful organ in your body. Your heart is the core of your being, the core of who you really are.”

I find this so fascinating! Our hearts literally hold on to, and store information just like our brain. This is referred to as the Heart-Brain. Scientist are even finding that electromagnetic signals radiating from your heart are being detected in the brain waves of another person. This is shown even stronger in people who are touching or within close proximity to one another.

After knowing this, I want you to think about the walls you have created to protect your heart. Did someone close to you “break your heart” or cause your “heart to ache”? Do you have walls of pain, sorrow, fear, worry, shame, abandonment, or loss? Did you know that your subconscious mind, which knows no limits can sometimes use this energy to create the wall around your heart to protect it?

Have you ever felt that you struggle to connect to others? That you are on the outside looking in even among friends? This can all be because of the walls we have built to protect ourselves.

Nearly three years ago I built a pretty large wall. It was so large in fact I felt numb. I knew what was happening but I couldn’t for the life of me let that wall down. It was my protection. My safety net. If I could block out love I wouldn’t feel pain.

I became very good at blocking. Blocking faith, joy, patience, understanding, and most importantly love! I was however, unsuccessful at blocking out my pain.

I know some of you have been or are where I was not too long ago.

I am here to tell you, you can let go of these walls. You can have the peace you were meant to have! You have to deal with heavy pain at times but I promise you it is so worth it. I will never regret spending the time, money, and work to let my walls down. I have never felt so much love in my entire life and I want you to all feel that way as well. I want you to have those deep, meaningful relationships.

I will always recommend Reiki to release these walls. It is done in a gentle manner and makes a lasting impression. But here is a tip to help start your process.

Begin today:

Spend 5 minutes in prayer and meditation asking what your walls are. Write them down as the information comes. Then I want you to write one of your walls down on a piece of paper. Write anything that comes to mind about when you built this wall, why it is protecting you or what its purpose has been.

Once you have done this I want you to turn on some uplifting, powerful music and rip that paper to shreds. As you are ripping it apart I want you to picture that wall disappearing. Once you have done that be sure to fill in that space of your heart with love. Ask that love from your higher power fill that space, love from nature or the universe. Whatever makes sense to you and repeat as needed till you see the changes it makes.

With love,

Talesha
