Motivation Mondays: Week 3

This weeks motivation is focusing on being true to yourself. Many times I have struggled with my self-esteem. The adversary works so hard to destroy us and break us down. He wants us to be as miserable as he is.

Are you letting him succeed? I hope not.

Here are some tips that I have used to help me feel my worth and boost my self- esteem.

  • Pray- Ask your higher power to fill you with his love, love that is more pure than anything in this world.
  • Service- Do something that makes you get out of your comfort zone and lift another.
  • Take Responsibility- This is a hard one but when you mess up own it. Do whatever you need to to make it right.
  • Live in the Moment- Whether you are cleaning your house, playing with your kids or watching t.v. be all in. Give your 100% to your activity. Practicing mindfulness is a great way to help.
  • Make Mistakes- Each experience we have is teaching us. Don’t stress about the mistakes along the way. Write down what mistakes you made and how you are going to fix them.

James E. Faust said,”Self-esteem is the glue that holds together our self-reliance, our self-control, our self-approval, or disapproval, and keeps all self defense mechanisms secure. It is a protection against excessive self-deception, self-distrust, and self-reproach, and plain old-fashion selfishness.”

This week I challenge you all to do at least one of the tips to better your self-esteem.
