I’m sure we all have guilty pleasures we can’t seem to shake. At some point, you just understand that this is something that makes me happy and reward yourself every now and again.
Here are my most recent guilty pleasures.
- Mcdonald’s coke. I have tried to take a step back on this one because soda isn’t great for your body. But, man, oh man, does Mcdonald’s make the best coke in the world.
- Lemon bars from Smith’s bakery. If you’re anything like me, then if you have the option to not bake, you take it. Smith’s has one of the best lemon bars and I indulge almost every week.
- Icehouse frozen custard. I’ve never been one for super thick ice cream, but icehouse definitely does it right! Next time you go, try out the Fh’zookie shake. Cookie, chocolatey, caramel goodness with every bite!
- Movie night every night. There’s something so relaxing about cuddling on the couch cuddled up to Paul. I look forward to it after every crazy day at work.
- Lemon water. This is actually a very healthy guilty pleasure, but I love lemon water! For some reason, regular water is hard for me to drink. Every few days I cut a fresh lemon and throw it in a big pitcher of water and into the fridge.
- Listening to the ’90s country. I’m an adult and should maybe keep up with current music, but the ’90s has my heart and soul. Shania Twain, Martina Mcbride, and George Straight know how to shift any bad mood.
- Staying in Pajamas. Weekends are for relaxing PJs and book reading. I love to spend all day in my favorite pajamas. It’s not every weekend I can, so when the opportunity arises, I take it.
- Ordering takeout. Some nights are hard to have motivation cooking. And when I crave Chinese food, I know I can’t make it as good as Panda. No cleanup, no mess. Easy peasy.
- Binge-watching ‘You’ on Netflix. I don’t know what it is about ‘You’ that pulls me in, but once I start watching, I’m a goner. I love it too because there are probably scary stalkers like that all around us and we have no idea.
