Juicing, Is It Worth It?

Juicing has recently become a popular fad, but is it actually beneficial? Those that support juicing say that fruits and veggies are high in vitamins and minerals which boost our overall health. Juicing introduces extra nutrients into your body as well.

There are cons, however. Some of the cons include lack of fiber, and its not magic and won’t heal all of your problems. I think most of you are with me when I say the pros outway the bad.

Now let’s dive a little deeper into the benefits of juicing and why so many people are doing it.

Increases your fruits and veggies intake: If you’re like me, I don’t nearly get enough veggies. Fruits I can eat by the handful, but vegetables are less appealing. It’s also amazing for those busy times we forget to grab a meal and are hungry within ten minutes of leaving home.

You can juice just about anything. So juicing to get all of the fruits and veggie intake you’ve been missing out on is definitely a positive. Have extra carrots about to go bad? Throw em in the juicer. What about, celery, spinach, fresh garden cucumbers, and tomatoes? No need for your veggies to go bad with juicing.

Easy absorption: Any morning started off with green juice is similar to pumping your body of IV fluid full of nutrients. Because it’s so easily absorbed its a quick way to boost nutrition nearly instantly.

Juicing breaks down the fruits and veggies to help our bodies digest them. Because of this bloating can become a thing of the past.

Highly concentrated: One major benefit of juicing is that it provides tons of vitamins and minerals in a very concentrated form.

Instead of forcing ourselves to eat a bag full of kale to get vitamin K, potassium, and vitamin C, you get the same benefits from drinking a light and refreshing drink.

This is also a huge plus for picky eaters, like myself. If you get sick thinking of eating veggies all day because you can’t stand most of them, this is a fast and healthy way of getting all of the nutrients in one sitting.

I especially love celery juice. It tastes so refreshing and is super simple. I start most mornings with it. It is fast and gives me more quality time with my kids rather than eating cereal with little to no nutritional value.

I noticed after drinking it I’d have more energy, less bloating and a happier mood because it made my body feel good. That’s rare in today’s society with all of the additives in the food we eat.

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to start this juice crave, do it! You’ll love the added energy, increased mood, and no bloating! Once you do try it, let me know how it went!
