Good Indoor Activities Pt. 2

Feeling stuck inside is a terrible feeling. For me being someone who loves to go out and do, I start feeling claustrophobic of my house. This has definitely been an interesting time, but I’ve found my favorite ways to keep my brain moving!

Most of these will bring you back to your childhood, but it is so fun to do the activities I loved doing, again.

Leave reviews! During this challenging time businesses need our reviews more than ever. Do you have a favorite restaurant and want others to enjoy it as well? Now is the perfect time to be relaxed, leaving reviews on places you want other people to enjoy as well.

Have you always wanted to learn a musical instrument? I have always wanted to learn how to play a guitar. I never seen to have “enough time”, but now is perfect for all of us to give up that excuse and try something new. It could be piano, guitar, ukulele, clarinet, drums, absolutely anything your heart desires!

Plastic water bottle bowling! This idea is so fun because who doesn’t have water bottles and a tennis ball? Really any ball could work for this, be creative! Set it up and bowl across your living room. It’s not only fun for the kids, but fun for parents as well.

Marshmallow building to see who can make the tallest tower. I did this as a kid and loved it! It’s crafty and cheap! Marshmallows and toothpicks is all you need to do this fun activity. Plus, it’s one you can eat too!

Paint your windows for the whole neighborhood to enjoy. We can all use a little pick me up and spreading joy for those also inside is a great way! Have a paint night with the family and see who can paint the prettiest picture for others to enjoy.

This will bring back so many memories and create new ones for your family. Pretend the floor is lava! Grab some pillows, blankets, and chairs and make it your lifes goal to not step on the ground. You’ll be laughing and so will the rest of your family as you awkwardly hop from thing-thing.

Sumo wrestling, now hear me out on this one! You will need to be a little more careful with this activity, but if you do it right, you’ll be laughing for weeks ahead. Have your family get their biggest shirts, fill them full with other shirts, or blankets. When you have a nice round protection layer, belly bump each other. I did this with lots of blankets and pillows so if I fell, or either of my kids it was onto a soft surface.

Bean bag toss, like the good ole days. Cut out some holes in a cardboard box and get some rice in a plastic bag (if you don’t already have bean bags) and toss away. Make it a fun competition to see who can make it in the furthest away.

Have you done any of these activities? What is one you’d like to try, or not try? I’d love to know your ideas and what you guys are doing to fill up your time.

All my love,

Talesha
