As a foot zone practitioner, I have the opportunity to work on all four bodies of health when I zone my clients. The physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies are all addressed in the Zone. There is the obvious physical aspect of foot zoning where I am using pressure to stimulate signals on the feet, which in turn impacts the organs of the body, but very often, when there is an issue showing up on the feet, a client is stumped when we discuss it because there is no corresponding physical ailment that they are aware of.

I see this as well in my clients but from the other perspective. Many of them feel a physical response like pressure in their chest or pain in their joints. Together it is our work to discover where this pain is coming from. Just like what Chris does for her clients in Foot zoning.
Sometimes I can feel that it is an energetic issue, rather than a physical one, and sometimes they are so guarded that I get very little feedback from the feet and we just discuss a variety of possibilities in hopes that something resonates and at some point they will be ready to examine it more closely.
It’s interesting that Chris would bring up this guard. Many times people avoid having work done because they don’t want anyone to know their deepest darkest secrets. However, we only know what you’re open to address. So rest assured we are not mind readers. Everything comes out exactly when it needs to.
I recently had a client tell me that coming was like going to a therapy session. Just like therapy, what a person gets out of a foot zone is largely determined by what they put into it.
Someone who is really open and willing to look at all the possibilities will have a much deeper experience on my table because they are willing to do the work.
Everyone has emotional/spiritual/mental baggage that is going on and affecting them. When they are open to looking at those things, I can then pull out some of my books and have them look up the organs or systems that are troubling them.
Often when they read about the emotional roots, they find something that resonates with them. Sometimes just the awareness or a few simple suggestions from me is enough to really get things moving, but sometimes they need more in depth guidance than I can give them and this is when I refer them out to an energy worker.
The beautiful thing about helping yourself is there are so many doors open to you that will help you to become the best version of yourself. We as practitioners are trained to do the best we can, but sometimes the challenge is better addressed with a different practitioner.
I personally love to refer my clients to a foot zone practitioner because they can do work I cannot do. And just like Chris, some of the deeper emotional work she will refer to an emotional healer because it is better addressed that way.
Those that address their energetic “stuff” end up feeling better physically and it completely changes how things feel on their feet.
I had one client whose feet felt good to both her and myself when she first started coming to me, but a couple of months in, I noticed a change in her energy and her feet became more tender. Finally I asked her what was going on and she shared that she and her family had made some major life decisions that were hard, and she had worries about them.

That all showed up on her feet! I have another client who has the most beautiful feet that I have ever worked on. I went into that zone expecting to find some really crazy stuff because she had a stroke at one point that damaged over 50% of her brain and left her with significant and lasting limitations which make life very difficult. I was stunned to find that nothing on her feet was tender, nothing felt off, they were in such good shape. As we communicated, she shared that she is more happy, more at peace now, than she has ever been. Her stroke showed her what was really important and none of the other stuff matters. Her beautiful and peaceful energy showed up on her feet, despite her physical limitations.
I challenge you to work with multiple healing modalities. Foot zoning and emotional healing are very different in forms of technique but they both offer undeniable results and work complimentary of each other.
