Body Language Tips

You’ve heard of it before, but what exactly is body language? It’s communicating non verbally through conscious or unconscious gestures and movements. Think of walking into a room, you notice how someone is standing with their body pointing away from a group. What do you feel when you see this? That feeling is how you recognize thoughts in body language.

1) The head: Represents us, when there is something going on here
it typically means we feel something is wrong with us. Notice when you have a headache or someone you’re talking with is consistently touching their head. It most likely means something you are saying is a result of them.

2) Tension: Tension does not mean you are being strong. It’s the opposite, being relaxed, centered, and peaceful is strength. When you feel tension it is a sign that you’re holding on to too many burdens. Instead of holding onto anger and letting your blood boil, release it in a healthy way with emotional healing . It’s not doing you any good holding onto those negative emotions that are causing physical tension in your body.

3) Troat: Where change takes place. Have you noticed when you want to speak up your throat feels like it’s closing off? Often, when you are resisting change, or on the fence that you begin to have throat discomforts. Notice when you cough what has been said, what are you reacting to? Resistance, or stubbornness? The process of change repeats. Are you willing to change?

4) Anger: Did you know that anger is a secondary emotion? It may not feel like it but anger typically stems from not being heard, seen, or valued. When you are feeling angry are you really just reacting to feeling sad? Hold your middle finger when you do feel angry. Hold the right if you’re angry at a man, and left if it’s at a woman.

5) Back: Often you believe you are only supported by your job, family, or spouse. This creates mass Vet problems in your back. You feel responsible for taking charge of everything and feeling like you have no support from others. But you are supported by the universe and your higher power. You don’t need to take on the weight of the world. When you are feeling that back pain, get moving! Walk around, do some stretches or even go swimming. Once you’ve done that you are ready for emotional healing to clear out the beliefs trapped in your physical body.

6) Stomach: Do you have gut or digestive issues? Who can’t/won’t you stomach? Most of the time this comes when you feel you can’t assimilate to new ideas. This can even develop into chronic diseases if held onto for a long time. One way to help relieve that is to meditate. Practice deep breathing and allow your mind to relax.

Have you done, or felt any of these? I know I sure have! Next time you find yourself holding back, see what your body language is. Are you turned away from a conversation with your arms in front of you? Or are your arms down and body open to the conversation and person?
