Benefits Of Daily Exercise

We have all heard that daily exercise is good for us, but do we all know the benefits as to why? Like me, I’m sure your life gets crazy and going to the gym is the last thing to cross your mind. From work, children and home chores it leaves little time for exercise.

What are the benefits of working out daily?

  • Increase the chance of living a longer happier life. Studies show us that daily exercise can reduce the chance of dying early by reducing the leading cause of death- some cancers and heart disease.
  • Reduce the risk of falling. For the older generation doing balance, training will help reduce the risk of falling.
  • Improve sexual health. Daily fitness helps men from getting ED and help women get aroused.
  • Help your critical thinking and memory. During exercise proteins and other beneficial chemicals are released in your body. This helps improve the structure of your brain.
  • Reduce the risk of some forms of cancer. This includes, breast, colon, lung and uterine cancer.
  • Help improve your mental health. During exercise, chemicals are released in your body which can help you feel happier and more relaxed. This helps reduce the risk of depression and stress.
  • Help you quit smoking for good. Working out may help you quit smoking by reducing your cravings and help limit the weight you may gain after you quit.
  • Strengthen your muscles. By doing muscle-strengthening workouts you can build and maintain muscle mass which benefits your longterm health.
  • Improve your quality of sleep. Exercise helps you fall asleep faster and stay asleep for longer. Who doesn’t want better sleep?
  • Decrease the risk of heart disease. Exercise strengthens your heart and improves circulation. The improvement in blood flow helps raise oxygen levels in your body. This is what helps reduce the risk of heart disease. Such as; heart attack, and high cholesterol.
  • Maintain a healthy weight. Diet and exercise go hand in hand, but by controlling your weight you prevent obesity. Doctors recommend the calories you eat in a day be the same as the calories you burn. To lose weight you need to use more calories than you eat.

It’s important to find activities you can do in cold and warm weather that you enjoy. For me, summer is outside and hiking, winter is the gym and indoor activities.

Take a friend with you to the gym and help motivate each other. Throw out the scale completely because it will just make you frustrated. Take progress photos instead and refer back to those every few weeks.

Find the joy in exercise. And remember it takes two weeks to make a habit. Push through, shock everybody. You got this!

All my love,

Talesha
