I’ve always loved seeing how one space can completely transform by changing things up. Something as simple as adding a plant can open up a dark room. A picture can lift a small space. So many ideas to make your home more you.
Over the last 4 months, I’ve been working hard to save up enough money to redo my bedroom. From the bottom up, everything will be more me. Right now I have very Montana style furniture. Dark, detailed and big. Whereas my style is more minimalist, mid-century modern, boho, and Scandinavian.
Here are some of pictures that sparked my bedroom makeover creativity.(All the pictures found on Pinterest. Unknown who they belong to.)

This one is very similar to how I want my bedroom to flow. I love the white dresser with black details. I also love how the black was incorporated throughout. The stool in the corner with the plant helps open the space up.

In this bedroom, I love how airy it is. The light colors really open up the area and the plants bring life and color. The wicker detailing is so boho I love all of it! I also can’t get over how cute the light is on the ceiling. I would die to have a hanging light like that.

Now onto actual plans for my bedroom… The fun stuff! This bed frame is the one I’ll be getting over the 4th of July! I love the height it brings allowing the rug underneath to be seen. The headboard gives my boho, beach vibe all the life it needs! I can’t wait to see how it’ll look in my home with my furniture.

This is the nightstand I’ll be getting my husband and I. I love the light wooden look with the legs that get smaller at the bottom. The one drawer and open bottom will be perfect for random books and cute little decoration. I’ve been in love with this nightstand for so long I can hardly wait to bring it home!

I plan on adding a white dip dyed stool in the corner of my bedroom with a plant on it to bring more greenery and white details. I love the look of the stool having dip dyed white legs and think it is so unique. Have you ever seen a cuter stool in your life? I think not!

In this bedroom inspo picture, I love the circle mirror, plants, and chair in the corner. It’s crazy how much adding plants open and bring up space. Without the plants, I would think it didn’t flow and maybe looked a little junky. But the plants bring new life, and that’s why I’ve been slightly obsessed with them recently.
It’s so important to love and feel comfortable in your bedroom. The bedroom should be a relaxing, rejuvenating area where it’s easy to fall asleep. Having dark furniture is not bad at all, but for me its hard to find it relaxing.
I love airy, open, bright areas so turning my bedroom into just that has always been a dream of mine. I can’t wait to share with all of you my bedroom when it is all finished!
What’s a must for you in a home?
It has been a crazy week, I am so excited for a weekend spent with my family. I hope you all take the time to count your blessings amidst such a crazy time.
I love you all!
All my love,
