Thank you for this opportunity to ask this question about a very intense Reiki session. Is it likely to get flu symptoms post session because of an extreme amount of energy released? I had this happen to me a few months ago which left me feeling anew afterwards. But I felt awful for two days after, I had a headache, fever, chills and nausea. This was my first ever session and I was going through a very tough time which would require such intense release, but I found it to be strange to be so sick after this. Have you heard of such after effects?
Hey Chelsea, sorry for the delayed response to you. To answer your question, yes this can happen. While everyone experiences different symptoms upon releasing deep emotional wounds symptoms like these can arise as your body cleanses itself. In the future ask your practitioner to help you ground more after your session is over. This will help with the aftercare for you.
