We can all admit that the world has been a little more negative then normal. This has messed with my happiness significantly over the past few months. I know I shouldn’t let the world around me change my emotions, but it’s been hard.
With so much negativity circling I need to constantly seek out what brings me joy, what makes my heart happy and what inspires me. Have you been doing the same?
I’ve been really digging deep and doing all I can to bring as much positivity into the world that I can. By doing this I’ve seen some amazing things and been so inspired to keep bringing good in. It’s crazy how in the midst of so much darkness, light still brightly shines through.
What inspires me?
I’m so inspired by watching my BcBa’s work with my clients. The patience I see so many of them have is incredible. Amid chairs being thrown at them, hair being pulled, kicked, sworn at, and everything you can imagine, they always lead with love. They’ve shown me how to be soft with people no matter what. That’s something that I’ll take with me anywhere I go. And something I hope people see in me as well.
I’m inspired by hearing of all the customers tipping way over their regular 20%. I saw videos where they tipped $700 for a piece of pie. Watching the waiter in disbelief as tears filled their eyes made mine swell as well. I can’t wait till I’m able to do the same for someone else. If you are able to tip well right now, I think it’s a great way to say “thank you” to the ones who need it most right now.
I’m inspired by watching my husband continue to work. My husband works really long days. Work by 7:30 am and done around 6-7pm, Monday through Friday in all weather. I am inside all day in temperature controlled rooms with a fridge and microwave.
I’m inspired by seeing all my mom friends home school their kids. For some of us, this was something we never expected or were prepared for. Seeing all of you step up to the task with such power is incredible. It’s not an easy thing, but it makes me so proud of all of us going through this journey together.
I’m inspired seeing so many people being flexible with income. When my hours cut from Covid I didn’t know what to do. I knew it was best to continue my business instead of finding another part time job. But sooo many people found another job or even two to make up the hours and wage they were cut.
Im inspired seeing people reach their fitness goals in quarantine. I know I packed on more weight than I lost. (Which is totally okay) But seeing you who kept pushing and even pushed harder in quarantine was inspiring.
Im inspired by people calling out the darkness in the celebrity world. For not letting predators get away with being predators anymore.
I’m inspired by watching people fight for their freedoms.
Inspired by watching the world make inspiring T.V shows. One in particular is Love On The Spectrum on Netflix–The best show ever in my opinion. It really opens your eyes to autism and how it effects individuals. Autism is so different for everyone who has it.
I think it’s so important to continue searching for things that inspire us. That pull us to be better and do better. Things that tell us that this isn’t the end. There is more out there to achieve… and then ACHIEVE it!
There’s so much goodness us around us, sometimes we just have to search a little harder.
So continue searching, continue seeking out things that inspire you. That inspire you to be the absolute best version of yourself. This will all get better, sooner rather than later.
Keep fighting.
All my love,
Talesha
