I have loved taking the time to find happiness in my life. With so much circling around its so important to find what brings us joy.
I challenge each of you to list 10 things that bring you joy after I list mine. Feel free to post them in the comments so we all can enjoy positivity during this difficult time.
One thing that makes me happy is the relationships I have with others. I am such a people person. I love spending time with friends and family. It’s always been very important for me to meet new people. Create new relationships and get out of my comfort zone.
You never know, that person in line behind you might end up being one of your best friends. Or that girl you just told how cute her shirt was might be really depressed and you just made her smile. You never know the impact you can have on others. So continuing to grow current relationships and meeting new people has always been one of my favorite things.
As silly as it sounds, ice cream makes me happy! I’m not sure what about ice cream that makes me so happy but I love it! My favorite flavor is cake batter, with strawberries and sprinkles. It lifts my mood almost instantly and reminds me of how easy it is for me to be happy.
Writing makes me so happy! Since I can remember, writing has always been my escape. Something I do to clear my mind. I have journal, upon the journal of my day to day life growing up. All the boys I loved, the silly things that happened, and heartbreak.
I wrote everything down! I knew that one day I would look back on those days and miss them. There was no way to miss what I couldn’t remember, so I wrote.
I have always loved kids. They make me happy and take me back to a much simpler time. They are care free, funny and loving. The world hasn’t hardened them and I love their optimism.
I go to work and work with kids all day every day. They are always so happy to see me and we make it the best day for them. I found something I loved (kids) and dedicated my career to it. It makes work, not so much work anymore.
A head massage. My husband knows how often I get headaches and now he’s pro at head rubs. I instantly feel relaxed and all the pressure is lifted. I could die on head massages.
A good steak. Growing up I used to think a good steak was well done. It wasn’t until after I met my husband that I learned how good a medium cooked steak is. Now one of our favorite dates is getting steak and savoring the flavor.
Here are a few extra of my favorite things:
When a strange smiles at me.
The sunset. (especially ones with orange)
Cuddling with my hubby and dog.
Watching a movie after a long day.
Long evening walk at sunset with my pup and husband.
Indian food.
Flowers.
Cute phone cases.
A nice soft blanket to curl up in.
My best friends laugh.
A clean house.
There are so many things to be thankful for and love.
Have you made your list of what makes you happy?
All my love,
Talesha
