If you’re anything like me, you love snacks. They are the perfect boost of energy for me. However, not all snacks boost your energy. Some make you sleepy and sick feeling.
These are my favorite low-fat healthy snacks that keep me full throughout the day.
Air-popped popcorn is my favorite! Three cups of air-popped popcorn are only 100 calories! With roughly 2.5 g of fat. Popcorn also contains magnesium, potassium, and antioxidants.
Greek Yogurt is an awesome source of protein and fiber. You can also add greek yogurt to a whole grain waffle, pancake, and bread. I love using vanilla greek yogurt for breakfast with some nuts. This snack keeps me feeling fuller, longer.
Watermelon is a great low-fat snack as well. Eating two cups of watermelon is under 100 calories and almost no fat.
Cottage cheese and pineapple is also a deliciously healthy snack. This combo has vitamin C, calcium, and some riboflavin.
Baby Carrots and dip is a great snack to bring to work. Try a bean dip that’s low-fat. Bean dip has protein and fiber that will keep you full. This snack is great for on-the-go.
Frozen grapes are easy and yummy. By freezing your grapes you are less likely to eat as many as you would fresh. Grapes off few calories and almost no fat. Frozen grapes also have an ice-cream like texture.
Fruit and nut combination will provide your body with plenty of nutrients. This will give you energy without needing an energy drink, which is a win-win for me.
Healthy snacks on-the-go don’t have to be as hard as they sound. By switching up your everyday snack routine you will find healthy, low-fat options to keep you fuller, longer.
My favorite of these snacks is the popcorn and frozen grapes. Next time you’re struggling with what to make for a snack, try these options out.
All my love,
