My Goals For The New Year

“You can’t do the same thing over, and over and expect different results.”

I am changing my way of thinking for 2020. However, I am being realistic for myself and not setting myself up for failure. I know that I can’t expect my entire life to be different in 2020. Some things take time and that’s okay.

I can’t focus on more than a few main goals. Nor do I want to. I am also making goals for different aspects of my life to avoid getting stressed out on one part.

My three resolution groups:

Fitness

Mental Health

Financial

It feels so refreshing being able to start over. A new year – a new me. I’m committing myself to continual growth. Once I feel a goal has become a habit I can start a new one. Even if it’s in March.

Fitness: Go to the gym 5 days a week. Follow an actual meal plan directed to my goals. If I want to lose some stubborn fat, I need to eat clean. Going to the gym and continuing to eat crap won’t actually benefit me.

Making a commitment to five days a week no simple task. I am allowing myself some wiggle room. There will be days I need to rest and some I need to take easier. And that’s okay, I’m human.

Mental Health: I love meditating because of the calm that rushes over me. Life gets stressful and having a healthy way to manage it besides eating a sugar cookie will create a new healthy habit.

I plan on setting up space in my house where I can be fully relaxed. Just me on a yoga mat with the sound of a waterfall and birds in the background. I know my anxiety will go down dramatically and I will be able to think of the pros and cons of my choices easier.

Financial: We have all felt the struggle of finances. If we don’t manage our money the right way or work enough we don’t have enough to pay our bills. I have definitely overspent in 2019, but recognize it and plan on changing it in the future.

By the end of 2020,I hope to have saved enough for a new car, have a sufficient amount in my savings in case of emergencies and have a down deposit on a house.

I am so excited for 2020 and can’t wait to push myself harder than I have before. Life doesn’t change unless we make the choice. I can’t wait to see where I will be by the end of 2020.

Where will you be?

All my love,

Talesha
