Apps I Use Daily Pt. 2

Electronics can be used for good or bad. I used to look at my phone and be sad. Comparing myself to all the other successful, beautiful people I saw. That’s when I decided I needed a change.

My phone became my worst nightmare until I chose to change the apps I had and the way I used them. In part one I talked about changing my Pinterest to show motivating quotes and things that make me happy. I changed my Instagram to show healthy food and inspiring messages.

These are my favorite apps I use every day to inspire me, push me and educate me.

Lightroom challenges me in everything photography. It’s easy to put a filter on, but it’s not so easy adjusting light, shadows and all else editing. editing is difficult, but I love it. It pushes me to learn new things and step out of my comfort zone.

Venmo, however, may not be inspiring but I love how simple it makes sending and receiving money. I use Venmo in my business and personal life. One of my main love languages is gift-giving. The fact that I’m able to send a quick gift of money to a friend makes me so happy.

Google Maps has saved me from getting lost so many times! I’ve never been one that’s been good at following directions. I get lost in new areas way more often than I’d like to admit. Getting an address and simply plugging it into Google Maps has been my saving grace.

Every Dollar for all things financial. Dave Ramsey’s app for finance really opened my eyes to my spending. Eating out adds up quick. As well as; grocery store runs, gas, and phone bills. Creating a budget keeps me on track.

Pandora for my love of music. Music has always inspired me when I’m down and pushes me when I’m at the gym. My favorite station is “A drop in the ocean radio.” I listen to it on my drive to work every morning and I sing along to every song. It’s the little things in life that make you the happiest. Figure out what they are for you, and keep doing them.

VSCO, in my opinion, is way better than Instagram. People post more of their life. their unedited, perfect viewing life. I see friends I went to high school with, in their sweats watching their favorite show. It may not be perfect, but that’s what I love about it.

I now use my phone for all the right reasons. It’s not easy making the switch, but it’s so worth it. We are all beautiful, unique and amazing human beings. Spending time looking at your phone and being sad is not worth it.

Take the time it takes to erase negativity pouring out of your phone.

All my love,

Talesha
