Have you ever heard the phrase, “Praise the negative in your life.” It’s a sentence that really gets my mind going. Why would I want to praise the negative in my life? I’m not thankful for hardships. I sure don’t want to attract more or have my higher being think I’m okay with it.
However, if you believe that praising negativity brings more negativity, it doesn’t. In fact, it’s the complete opposite of that. By praising hardships, it changes the vibration. Turning it into a positive.
Something that may help you on praising the negative that comes up is by writing a thank you note for negativity. Let’s write ours together!
“Dear negativity,
Thank you for making me feel like I wouldn’t succeed, if it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t have pushed myself. Thank you for that really bad job I had, because of that I was able to find a job I’m passionate about. Thank you for telling me “I’m not a good manager”, without that I wouldn’t have proved you wrong and found a manager position that I’m needed in. Thank you for telling me “You’re a girl and won’t understand car stuff” because of that, I became a jack of all trades. I pushed myself because you said no. I fought to be a better person because you said I wasn’t good enough. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Talesha”
While writing my note, I felt everything in my past I thought was a horrible experience and I saw the positive that came from it. Let’s say right now you are having difficulty finding a job. One way to turn that negative into a positive is by praising it saying, “I’m thankful I haven’t found the right job, because that means I haven’t found the right one for me yet.”
By finding the positive that can come from a negative situation you are able to repave your course in life. Negativity brings on more negativity. Letting that negativity build itself into a bigger problem will soon become unmanageable. Step aside and view the whole picture. Why am I going through this? What lesson am I learning right now?
Then, praise it! Praise the heck out of it. Nothing is ever negative if you learn from it. Next time it happens you’ll be able to see the positive right away and brush your shoulders of it.
Have you ever tried praising the negative situations you’ve gone through? What has been the result? I know I’ve seen huge success, but that might not be your story. Share down below if it’s ever worked in your life.
