This month I had the privilege to attend the Next Generation influencer workshop taught by Travis Brady and Maddy Mink. I am blown away by this event, and I have been to many events since starting my business. What I loved was how personable Maddy and Travis are. They interacted with us the whole time and I never felt like my questions were beneath them.
Within the first 10 minutes of being there, Travis spoke right to my heart about the coaches journey. This is because the pains I experience are similar to the ones you do and the ones he has. We are all connected. It can be so lonely as a coach, mentor, influencer, and business owner because your life is always out for display and it’s easy to fall into the I have to be the perfect way of thinking.
Travis and Maddy totally broke down those walls, and fears of being a person of influence. They taught how to make it less about you and more about them. Which is a model I’ve been practicing for several years now. But the message resonates the same. They are such compassionate individuals and it showed in their workshop.
The two things that stood out the most to me were Travis’s building block model. I am a person that has to see how something needs to look and then I’m good to go. His description and vision really opened my eyes to how I am teetering on my blocks just hoping my business will stay afloat.
The second was Maddy talking about how if you want to be an influencer start being an influencer. Don’t wait till you have the following or courage or nitty-gritty details. Start opening your mouth and spreading your message. Her simplicity in this description is exactly what I needed. It’s all about how you can help someone else feel. Not how they can feel about you.
Each detail of the event showcased how Maddy and Travis truly love the work they do to help influence coaches, influencers and business owners. They filled my cup and then some.
If you have a chance to attend a workshop or event from them just do it, ok! You’ll love the connections you make within yourself and with others searching for the same thing.
You’ll laugh, cry, and leave feeling so pumped to continue spreading your message.
