
A good nights sleep is so important for our health. You wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the days challenges. If you’re looking for a good routine to follow to help assure you sleep the best you have in months… follow these steps.
Write down three things that went well that day: By writing down positive statements on the day it brings in positive energy. Ending your day positively helps ensure your day to come will also have those results. Maybe you finished all those dishes from the night before. Your boss might have complimented you on a job well done. Or even, not eating that cookie you wanted at lunch. Knowing it would be bad for your health.
Make a to-do list: By writing a to-do list for the next day we are holding ourselves accountable. When we cross off an item we instantly feel good and feel accomplished. Which helps relieve the stress life builds up. My to-do list has on it; dishes, laundry, take kids CC to dance, get groceries, and make dinner.
Meditate: Meditation reduces stress significantly. Try sitting in your favorite place and close your eyes. Allow your mind to settle. Picture tomorrow and all of the greatness you will achieve. How productive you’ll be, and happy.
Spend time with loved ones: Being able to confide in those we love helps us feel more secure. We then go on to make positive choices to better ourselves. Spending time with people we love brings love back into our day. Hearing a funny story they share from their day, then we share ours. Laughing, and quality time increases our quality of life.
And lastly…
Take a hot shower: By showering at night we all have improved sleep. It relaxes us and lowers our blood pressure. You may even notice your morning routine being easier to accomplish. So go take that hot shower and hop into bed ready for the best nights sleep.
Do what feels best for you as a night for a routine. Whatever calms you, and puts your mind at ease will assure peaceful sleeping. And we all know, life is better after a long peaceful nights rest.
