Motivation Mondays: Week 4

Image-1

I want you to think of someone who is your hero. Do you have them in mind? Now go grab a pen a paper.

Start by writing, My Hero Is… then write down the qualities your hero has that you admire. This may include things like: patience, generosity, outgoing, strong, helpful, always going the extra mile, knowledgeable, etc.

Take your time, I want you to really think about these qualities.

Great! Now I want you to re-read these qualities you just wrote.

Which of these qualities would you like to have yourself? Do any of them seem out of reach?

Guess what?! There is something you should know. You POSSESS all of the qualities that you wrote down. Not just one but all of them. As the quote above states, “You don’t see things as they are, you see them as you are.”

You can’t see the good things in others if you don’t first have them! Isn’t that empowering? You are patient, generous, outgoing, strong, helpful and always go the extra mile, and knowledgeable and all the other wonderful things you thought and wrote down.

Now the next time you see someone and begin to think, I wish I was___________________ (fill in the blank) I want you to stop, yes, STOP that thought and replace it with I am________________. Say that as many times as you need. And always remember you are valuable!

With Love,
Talesha
