Self-care is things you do for yourself. What is self-care to you? Do you enjoy getting your nails done? Going shopping and going to the movies? Have you ever felt like you’ve had a calling in life? A reason to why you are here on this earth? That feeling is from your soul. A deep understanding or even love for something. A pull towards something you feel comfortable doing that you’ve never done before. That’s your soul speaking to you, and you should listen.
Now, what exactly is soul-care? Soul-care is where you honor your soul.
Study: Whether that be college or your own personal study. Don’t stop when the going in tough. Find your passion in life and then become an expert in it. They say, “When you’re doing what you love, you never work a day in your life.”
Prayer: Praying to your higher power. Prayer is so important. What I do is, pray and then wait and ponder for an answer. Often, when you pray and wonder off continuing with your day, you forget to seek out the answer.
Meditation: Find that quiet, peaceful place in your home to relax in. Meditating helps in so many ways. It helps to reduce anxiety and stress. Helps you be more self-aware, as well as lengthens your attention span. There is no time limit for meditating, but some say 5-10 minutes daily.
Music: Listening to good music that lifts your soul. If you’re like me, jam out to a good Shania Twain song. Play that song that instantly makes you smile from ear to ear. Dance around like nobody is watching, and let yourself feel.
Energy Healing: Energy healing techniques such as tapping. Even getting sessions done with me or other energy healing people. Energy healing is beneficial to your whole being. The benefits include calmer demeanor, relationships are stronger. Your marriage is stronger. You have better health and mindset. And, you can have difficult conversations that you thought you’d never be strong enough to have.
What’s your thoughts and experiences with soul care? Do you do any of the above listed tips? I know when I started doing these things I felt more peace in my life.
