Finding Joy

Many mentors and people have told me not to speak on joy. Why? Because they said people don’t relate to joy. People don’t know how to feel joy, you’ll never connect with your audience if you speak about joy?

Three years later, and I still feel this pull to speak about joy. I need to share the truths I’ve learned along the way and I need to share them with you. Because I think what is missing in your life is joy. Joy is not some hidden, long ago forgotten emotion. It isn’t only reserved for big life events.

Joy is alive and real, you’re just missing it in all the doing, growing, and building of your life. Would you agree?

Joy: a feeling of great pleasure and happiness. See, I’m sure you’ve experienced this. The problem with emotions is you tend to claim the negative ones and brush off the good ones.

For example, how easy is it to say, “I am so tired?” I hear this A-L-L the time. But how often are you saying, “I feel amazing today?”

Often it is thought that joy is this big emotion that you can only feel when you’re having the vacation of your dreams. Or your wedding kiss, even the birth of a child. I want to shake that up though.

Joy can be felt every-single-day!

What life shifts do you need to make right now that will help you to feel joy in the everyday living?

Here are some moments you can begin feeling joy right now in your life.

  • Get down on the floor and play with a child. Help them laugh, and explore.
  • Serve a person in need.
  • While you’re doing dishes picture all the amazing, yummy meals you can give your family on these dishes.
  • When you put away the mounds of laundry thing of the fun adventures you get to do while wearing these clothes.
  • When you’re creating content for your business, imagine one person you will help with this post.
  • When you’re arguing with your spouse pause and look at them with love. Picture pink light going to them from you.

There are so many ways to experience joy in your day to day living. Joy is meant to be felt, not ignored and pushed aside. Experiencing joy means you’re living in alignment with your soul self. And we can all use a little of that.

With love,

Talesha
